David Suzuki Feature Biopic in the Works at Possibles Média
Canadian scientist, media star, and environmental activist David Suzuki. The project, working title "Among the Uprising Trees," will explore Suzuki's life from his childhood to his journey as an environmentalist.
Serge Noël of Possibles Média is producing the film, with screenwriter Maria Camila Arias penning the screenplay. Christian Simoneau, Hugo Alarie-Blondin, and Stéphane Laporte are serving as executive producers.
The biopic will delve into key personal and public events that shaped Suzuki's path as an environmental activist, including his complex relationship with the powerful and desire to stay true to his beliefs.
As a third-generation Japanese Canadian, Suzuki's story is one of commitment to keep our understanding of our interconnectedness to one another and of being one with nature.
Production Plans: The film is expected to start production in late 2026 or early 2027, with a theatrical release planned for late 2027 or early 2028.
